AWS Kiro: Arbitrary Code Execution via Indirect Prompt Injection
Researchers found a vulnerability (CVE-2026-10591) in AWS Kiro, an agentic IDE, where hidden instructions planted in a web page or source file that Kiro processes can trigger indirect prompt injection to rewrite Kiro's own MCP server configuration (~/.kiro/settings/mcp.json) or allowlist arbitrary Bash commands in .vscode/settings.json, achieving arbitrary code execution on the developer's machine with no approval prompt. The human-in-the-loop approval boundary is bypassed because Kiro can write to these config files without user consent, and AWS has issued a fix and CVE.indirect-prompt-injection · prompt-injection · remote-code-execution · tool-abuse · config-poisoning

TrendAI VP: Attackers Turn AI Agents into 'APT Attack Dogs'
In an interview with Cyber Magazine, Tom Kellermann, VP of AI Security and Threat Research at TrendAI, argues that attackers are turning enterprise AI agents into 'APT attack dogs' by chaining specialised agents under a central orchestrator, using jailbroken LLMs for lateral movement and persistence, LLMJacking, disposable AI-built C2, and AI-generated steganography. The piece frames AI as reshaping the cyberattack kill chain into a continuous autonomous attack loop. Details →First reported paloaltonetworks.com
Token Jacking: Cybercriminals Could Be Stealing Your AI Resources
Unit 42's "Token Jacking" report describes how cybercriminals steal AI API keys and abuse AI gateways to hijack victims' AI resources (LLMjacking-style abuse), running up costs and consuming compute on the victim's account. The write-up is categorized as malware and threat research covering the theft and misuse of AI tokens and credentials. Details →How the wire is made
