AWS Kiro: Arbitrary Code Execution via Indirect Prompt Injection
Researchers found a vulnerability (CVE-2026-10591) in AWS Kiro, an agentic IDE, where hidden instructions planted in a web page or source file that Kiro processes can trigger indirect prompt injection to rewrite Kiro's own MCP server configuration (~/.kiro/settings/mcp.json) or allowlist arbitrary Bash commands in .vscode/settings.json, achieving arbitrary code execution on the developer's machine with no approval prompt. The human-in-the-loop approval boundary is bypassed because Kiro can write to these config files without user consent, and AWS has issued a fix and CVE.indirect-prompt-injection · prompt-injection · remote-code-execution · tool-abuse · config-poisoning

AI Secrets Management for AI Agents | Etheon | etheon
An Etheon guide on AI secrets management for AI agents argues that as agents move from answering questions to taking actions (calling tools, querying databases, triggering workflows), exposed credentials become a serious risk of data leakage and unauthorized system access. The article recommends an architecture where the model never sees, stores, or logs production secrets, and where credential retrieval, authorization, and tool execution are handled by deterministic infrastructure with dedicated agent identities and least-privilege access, referencing OWASP LLM/Agentic Top 10, Microsoft, and CSA guidance. 282 iOS AI Apps Leak API Keys and Open AI Proxy Access in Network Traffic Study
Researchers tested 444 iOS AI chatbot apps and found 282 (nearly two-thirds) exposed paid AI access through network traffic, including plaintext API keys, reusable tokens, or backend proxy servers that accepted requests with no key at all. An attacker observing traffic could grab these credentials and issue model requests on the developer's account. Details →How the wire is made
