Why it matters

Rapid growth in exposed AI agents and credential-bearing workflow platforms makes external asset discovery, access restrictions, and timely patching increasingly important for defenders.

Censys measurements found that internet-exposed AI-related software grew 63% between October 2025 and July 2026, reaching 267,915 IP addresses across 44 products. Among n8n servers reporting versions, 76.1% fell within ranges affected by at least one vulnerability rated 9.0 or higher; exposed OpenClaw control panels also expanded rapidly, reaching 85,478 by April 7, 2026.
