Modal's CTO Akshat Bubna told Reuters that a Modal customer had published an unauthenticated endpoint allowing anyone on the internet to run code in their sandboxes, and that this endpoint was abused by a 'rogue agent' tied to a broader frontier-lab agent intrusion incident involving OpenAI and Hugging Face.
